why did wsp close down?

This is for general chat on any WSFP issue. Have you got a QUESTION to pose for other WSFP members? Did you construct a ride at WSFP? Did you work there and you can tell a funny story? Anything other than the straight visitor entries can go here.

At the same time the LEGO Company were looking at a site in Europe to expand their Park aspects too, and this one came up with its good transport links and high tourist levels.

They then went on to buy a locaiton in California, Germany and Japan

Hi all,

I recently read somewhere that the Safari Park was bought by a hotel and leisure group, who thought it was a great moneymaking opportunity. When they found it wasn't earning as much as they anticipated they voluntarily had it declared bankrupt and sold it on. All for money eh?
Many thanks,Paul.

Yes indeed, it's a real shame. I'd love to go to a place like this again and I think I would go quite a lot too. It's so unfortunate this world revovles around money. Oh well, at least we have the memories.
