And then there's this...I was walking throuhg Piccadilly Circus about 10 years back and wandered into the Athena card shop. Is it still there?
Anyway on looking through the cards, I spotted this. I DID not buy the entire stock; I left one!

Neither participant was too amused but it did get published.

Okay....

This was taken - I think for the Mirror - by a freelance photographer Mike Lloyd? around 1977.

The bathroom was in the house behind the dolphinarium and backing onto the chimp area. (Oh what a hoot that was at times!)

Abdullah lived upstairs...

Sean was about 18months old, Pania about 2 months. Neither was amused insofar as Pania DID NOT like water but needed a bath nonetheless. It seemed a good idea at the time however we (Sean's parents were more than a little concerned about the possibilities of Sean losing a VERY important part of his anatomy. NOt sure who had the idea first though! There was more water on the floor than in the bath when we had finished!!

Hi - yes it's definitely Francis in the middle. The chap on the right is Vic Johnson who was a mechanic in the Park for many years and I think the lady on the left is his partner, Patsy Johnson, who was the Wardrobe Mistress. They lived in one of the bungalows and had a son called Kelly. I read on the boards a while ago that Patsy is living in Skegness [a post from Tez] - no idea where Vic ended up. They used to keep Afghan Hounds. Twinkle x

I hope I'm going to get brownie points for this!! The chap in the foreground is Jack Blake. He was the Party Organiser for many years. He had worked as Box Office Manager at Billy Smart's Circus for years and years and came to the Park when it came off the road. The other man is William Bayley. He was the accountant and worked in the top office where Mr North used to sign the men in and out. I remember Mr North used to sit at his desk during his lunch break and if anyone came in to ask him something he would just totally ignore them until his lunch break was over!! Mr North had worked at Eton College in the administration department and had retired before he started working for the Smarts. Hey, where have I stored all this information for all these years - I'd forgotten I knew it! twinkle x
